Word has reached Jobber Nation of the passing of John-Louis Dulac August 12 at the age of 84. Dulac was one of 12 aftermarket business leaders whose idea to form a buying group with other jobbers in 1968 led to the creation of what is now Uni-Select.
Dulac was part of the family owned M&M Nord Ouest business which continues to be a successful player in the Quebec market, and is now a third generation family-owned enterprise.
Dulac is survived by spouse Denise Roy, children Jean (Marie-Hélène Dubé) and Daniel (Nadia Veilleux); grandchildren Emmanuelle, Juliette, Philippe, Amélie and Sofia; brother Michel (Suzanne Monast); sister-in-law Monique Roch; and many nephews and nieces, cousins and extended family members and friends.
Funeral visitation is scheduled for Friday, August 16, 2019 7 pm to 10 pm at Maisons Funéraires Blais d’Amos, some 50 km north of Val d’Or and from 10:00 a.m. Saturday August 17. Funeral services are at 1:00 p.m. at St. Theresa of Avila Cathedral, Amos, Que.
