While Federal purchase incentives for EVs have ended in Canada, the Government of Canada signalled its continued support for the transition with a set of industrial investments.
The government announced a combined investment of over $10 million for seven manufacturers in southern Ontario’s EV supply chain.
The funding will boost Canadian production capabilities, upgrade equipment to improve efficiency and competitiveness and support local supply chains.
These companies include:
Enedym Inc.,–Electric motor and propulsion technologies
Forest City Castings Inc., — specializes in quality aluminum and zinc castings, in house mold making and custom CNC machining
Palcam Technologies Ltd., — Manufacturer of Precision Machined Components.
Process Research Ortech Inc., — serving mining, metallurgical, recycling, and chemical industries.
Proventus Global, Sinteris Canada — Powder metal solutons for automotive OEMs and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers.
SWTCH Energy Inc. — EV charging solutions for multifamily and commercial properties.
With this funding, these companies will make it easier to integrate EV charging stations for businesses and homes, increase parts production and strengthen southern Ontario’s position in the EV manufacturing sector, says information from FedDev.

Canada’s largest celebration of the automobile industry for over 50 years. She met with manufacturers, auto suppliers and stakeholders in the EV industry to learn about new innovations and opportunities in the supply chain, while reinforcing the Government of Canada’s support for this critical sector.
