Elgin Industries, manufacturer of engine and chassis components for the automotive, heavy duty and industrial markets, has expanded its industry leading Elgin Po-Stock 500 Series range of push rods with a new, custom-length 5/16” diameter push rod engineered specifically for GM LS performance engines.
The new, 7.450”-long Elgin Pro-Stock PR-515 push rod adds .050” to the popular stock rod length for LS engines to provide additional lifter pre-load lash needed for steep-ramp-profile performance camshafts used in conjunction with non-adjustable LS rocker arms.
As with all Elgin Pro-Stock 500 Series push rods, the new PR-515 rod features .075” wall thickness, providing 20% greater column strength than stock push rods. 500 Series push rods are manufactured from heavy-wall 1010 carbonitrided steel tube for exceptional wear properties, and are rated for spring pressures up to 400 lbs.
