Dale Devlin, former chairman of Bestbuy Distributors (2010-2015) passed away on Jan. 21 surrounded by his family.

Dale served as a director on the Bestbuy board from 1993, and has been an integral part of the Bestbuy family of shareholders for over 30 years, as owner of Halton Automotive Industrial Supply in Milton, Ontario.

Dale also served as director and Board Treasurer with Automotive Parts Associates (1998-2001) and was the recipient of the national Diamond Jubilee medal for his extensive community service.

“Dale was a steadfast and loyal advocate of Bestbuy serving the company and members with great dedication and professionalism,” said Douglas Squires, chairman and interim president. “We mourn the passing of a dear friend and respected leader, and we are deeply saddened by the loss.”

Beloved husband and best friend to Mary (Parchem) of 46 years and supportive father to Don (Kealyn), Ben (Jennifer), Lorna (Chris) and Anita (Steve), and loving grandfather to 9 grandchildren.

Survived by parents Mary and Lindsey Love of St. Thomas, Ont. and predeceased by his father Don Devlin of Egmont, B.C.

Dale will be sorely missed in his community as a past dairy farmer, Rotarian and affluent member of the automotive industry.

There will be a private family service and a celebration of life at a later date. Arrangements entrusted with J. Scott Early funeral home, Milton.
