(VIDEO 1:30) Bestbuy Distributors marked its 65th Anniversary with a Gala Dinner in Toronto, Ont., where shareholders and vendors were honoured for their contributions to the success of the buying group over the years.

Among the key honourees was Wayne Heimpel, whose father Wilf founded the Kitchener-based Heimpel Automotive in 1953 with his two brothers, and marked its 50th year with Bestbuy this year.

Key vendor awards were also presented.
