A3 Global announced today that it has completed the purchase of hybrid vehicle battery assets from Cardone Industries.
The purchase includes hybrid battery cores, modules, and related equipment needed for the repair, reconditioning, and remanufacturing of batteries used in hybrid-electric vehicles.
“Each year, thousands of hybrid-electric vehicles enter the aftermarket repair phase, where consumers often have limited options to service or replace their batteries. Servicing these batteries through remanufacturing provides consumers with a high-quality, cost-effective alternative to new batteries,” said Aaron Poynton, A3 Global’s Chief Commercial Officer.
“Acquiring additional battery cores and servicing tools from Cardone Industries will allow us to accelerate our plans to become the world’s leader in the hybrid and electric vehicle aftermarket,” he continued.
“By divesting our non-core hybrid vehicle battery business, we will gain additional bandwidth to continue our growth in our core product lines that make up the largest portion of the automotive aftermarket,” said Mike Carr, Cardone Industries’ CEO.
“As product lines such as steering and electronics become more complex, our core competencies in remanufacturing will allow us to keep pace with these evolving technologies.”
A3 Global recently opened its hybrid and electric vehicle battery remanufacturing Center of Excellence in Phoenixville, PA, and A3 Global plans to open similar servicing centres in Atlanta, GA, Crown Point, IN, and Dubai, UAE, in early 2023.
