Frank “Glenn” Crewe of St. Albert, a veteran of Canada’s aftermarket, passed away on January 25, 2022 at 67 years of age.

Glenn was born in Kenora, Ontario, April 24, 1954, growing up on beautiful Lake of the Woods. He enjoyed boating, fishing and, in the winter months, hockey and curling.

His career in the aftermarket began in Kenora as a teenager working for H&S Supply before moving to Calgary in 1976 and joining Bob Dickie at Superior Automotive. Then, in 1978, he was recruited by John Sutherland to join the UAP (NAPA) organization.

Glenn joined Bumper to Bumper in 1983, then an Associate program of Acklands Ltd.

Beyond a career, in Calgary he also Glenn met his true love Cindy Hall during the 1979 Calgary Stampede, marrying in 1983.

Glenn was instrumental in growing the BTB Associate program in Western Canada through Acklands Grainger & Uni-Select Inc. years and in 2012, he joined Jet Tools & Equipment (SureWerx).  (SureWerx has kindly made a donation to the Diabetes Society in Glenn’s name.)

Glenn completed his automotive aftermarket career in 2014 with The ERI Group ,subsequently retiring to his home in St Albert at age 60.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Cindy; daughter, Celina (Collin); granddaughter, Charlotte; mother, Dorothy; sisters: Karen, Kathy and Cheryl Lynn.

He will be remembered by so many close friends as a gentle man with a great heart. Glenn did not wish to have a service. There will be a Celebration of Life in the future.

The famlly has sent a big thank you to the staff at Foyer Lacombe Hospice, who provided such good care and amazing kindness to Glenn and the family over the last few months of his life.

“The Play has ended, the Lights have dimmed,
the Curtain has fallen, all that remains is the
Applause, the Smiles and the Memories of a long run…”

Special thanks to P. Sean Corcelli for his able assistance here.
