Shad’s R&R industry charity event is asking Canada’s aftermarket to remember the cornerstone event in their budgeting and to mark their calendars for June 10, 2021.
Cancelled for the first time in 46 years in 2020, the event is planning for a return in 2021.
The annual fundraiser has generated more than $5 million in contributions for the Muscular Dystrophy Canada since its inception.
“On behalf of the SHAD’s Board, Advisory Committee members and our many volunteer’s, we wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a joyous holiday and happy new year,” says advisory board chair Brad Shaddick.
“Like so many countless events that had to be cancelled this year, it was very unfortunate that Shad’s R&R 2020 was also one of them. The first miss in 46 consecutive years, and after raising over $5.2 million for Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
“We are very hopeful that we will have a successful Shad’s R&R on Thursday June 10th 2021 and we sure hope to see you there.
“As you finalize your 2021 plans, we would greatly appreciate that Shad’s remain a priority in your charity budgeting process.
“We recognize this is a tall ask considering what we all have been dealing with this year, and with an uncertain future ahead, however it is the Board’s intent to do all we can to hold the event at Station Creek Golf and Country Club next June.
“Please be sure to mark your calendars now for Thursday June 10th 2021 !! From all of us to all of you – a very Merry and safe Christmas and a Happy (and prosperous!) New Year!”
