AIA Canada CEO announces transition plan

AIA Canada President and CEO JF Champagne has announced that he has initiated a plan to find his replacement.

In speaking at the Canadian Auto Care Industry Conference organized by AIA Canada, Champagne says that he will be a part of the transition process and expects to continue in his role throughout 2025 and into early 2026.

“But you’re going to start to see and hear about that transition plan, which is critical to ensure good strong continuity for AIA Canada. And at that point, I know I’ll be able to have a transition of leadership at AIA Canada that ensures that we’ll have a very strong, well equipped and successulf next president, CEO for AIA Canada. “

An association professional Champagne joined AIA Canada in 2015.

He has focused his efforts on helping guide members and the sector overall on a variety of issues, including electric vehicles (EV), labour sustainability and digital transformation.  

As a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and a technology visionary, he brought a focus on ensuring organizations thrive in the digital age.

In addition to his role at AIA Canada, he currently serves as the Chair of the Canadian Automobile Service Information Standard (CASIS), as the Vice-Chair of the Canadian Society of Association Executives (CSAE) and as a board member of the Automotive Business School of Canada (ASBC). He is also a representative on the Canadian Automobile Partnership Council (CAPC). 

The Canadian Auto Care Industry conference is being held in Toronto March 19, and 20.
