Installation Best Practices

#1 – Use the Right Coolant to Water Ratio

Anything other than a 50/50 ratio of coolant and water can remove anti-corrosive properties and impede additives designed to keep fluid from freezing or boiling. This small mistake has BIG consequences since it can damage the pump seal.

#2 – Flush the System

95% of water pump failures occur because the coolant hasn’t been changed during a water pump replacement. Old coolant will not be able to keep the engine and other vital components at safe temperatures.

#3 – Replace Worn Components
Change all worn front-end drive system components during water pump installation. A systems approach is critical to component longevity.
