Wakefield Canada has announced the launch of Castrol GTX Classic motor oil, developed specifically for classic and collector cars, and racing applications.
“This is a product that classic car and hot rod owners in Canada have been asking for,” says Ian Hutchison, senior marketing manager at Wakefield.
“As a classic car owner myself, I’m excited that we get to benefit from Castrol’s rich heritage of innovation and trusted performance and that we now have the oil we need to keep our cars longer, and our engines running smoother.”
Castrol GTX Classic is a high-performance formula for push-rod, flat-tappet engines and performance cam applications. It’s blended with high zinc and phosphorus content to help prevent premature aging, wear and metal fatigue.
“Classic and hot rod owners are a demanding group,” adds Hutchison. “We want the best for our vehicles, and GTX Classic comes from a trusted industry leader who knows what we need.”
Castrol GTX Classic is specially formulated for classic/collector cars, muscle cars, hot rods, and race cars.
• Specialized additives containing high zinc and phosphorus for extreme wear protection
• Tough and thick oil film even under severe conditions
• Minimal foaming and high resistance to thermal degradation
• Compatible with gasoline and alcohol-based fuels
• Currently available in the 20W-50 grade
*Note: GTX Classic is not for use in modern engines with catalytic converters or wet clutch applications.
